In this self-paced course, we will define service-learning, explore service-learning as a pedagogy, dive into quality components of service-learning and course design, explore the depth and richness of incorporating reflection into your course, discuss tips for community partnerships, and bring it all together with some key aspects of academic service-learning in the classroom.

Please note, there is a companion student version of this self-paced course that we encourage you to assign as part of your service-learning course to enrich your students’ overall understanding of academic service-learning.

Read through each of the module/lessons below. Demonstrate your knowledge gained by answering the “What do you know?” questions. After the final module, information will be collected for a certificate of achievement.
